The reality of Marketing or real marketing?

So you have hit your target and made a great sale, but did your marketing methods actually work? At what point in time you started marketing your product unknowingly? Are you underestimating your sales number? What is marketing anyway and when it starts?

There are zillions of ways to define marketing, but the purpose of marketing fulfils when the customer builds a good relationship with your brand. Many marketers fail to understand real marketing as they become obsessed with numbers. Albert Einstein truly said once “Not everything that counts can be counted and not everything that can be counted, counts.”

Fundamentals of Marketing

Many organizations have a separate department for marketing while many others do marketing without realising it. The customer needs satisfaction, promotion of the organization, improve, extend or diversify the product, understanding competition or key trends are all marketing. Therefore, to have a holistic view of marketing one must understand the 4Ps of the marketing mix according to which the whole organization must work in synchrony to fulfil marketing goals: it is not a job of just one department or person.

Digital Marketing Vs Traditional Marketing

Digital Marketing was started long back in the 1800s when Guglielmo Marconi came up with the idea of “wireless telegraph” or we can say a concept of sending messages via radio. Then slowly advertisements were done through radio and now it is social media, SEO, TV, podcasts and whatnot.

The traditional form of marketing comprises Billboards, Magazine covers, Newspapers Ads and more. Traditional marketing is not capable of providing a personalized experience for customers and does not give back the data required to improve marketing strategies. Marketing with electronic devices whereas provides knowledge about the relationships that are building between the customer and the brand and what needs to be further fulfilled by the brand. It bridges the communication gap between brands and people which is important for sustainable marketing. Better relationships will foster better reach further which is proved by a Statista report- 71% of consumers who have had a good social media service experience with a brand is likely to recommend it to others.

How to Play it well?

To succeed in your digital marketing game plan you need to follow a certain framework. One of them which is described by DigitalDeepak that I would like to talk about.

According to the CATT framework, wealth is equivalent to n to the power CATT, where is n is your niche. To be a successful marketeers you need to specialize in a particular niche whether it is healthcare, fintech, public sector or fashion. C is for Content, great content will take you to places and leads. A is Attention that one must know how to gain from target segment. It is about driving the right traffic towards your business. Trust in T can make of break a relationship with the customer, hence it is not to be sidelined. Not last comes the Transaction where your customers actually makes a purchase. These 5 elements will solidify the niche which belongs to you.

Integrated Digital Marketing

While considering digital marketing for your brand you need to make sure that you are sending the same message across all your channels. There are different types of digital media- Paid Advertising, Email Marketing, SEO, Social Media and Content Marketing. We must unify all these channels to bring the traffic that we want. For example, we are creating a content for food delivery app, so we need to optimize the website using SEO tools so that the content blogs and the website are in synchrony with each other.

Personal Branding: A Conclusion
